Lately I've been extraordinarily impressed with all the creative queer fashion I'm seeing on Instagram.
When I first started Qwear almost 6 years ago, I hardly saw any fashion this bold and proud. Our community has grown more connected and confidant, and we have let down our guard when it comes to fully expressing ourselves. Everybody featured here has their own style, each uniquely inspiring.
To quote our new mission statement: "The increased risk that queer people face and the intersection of identity and expression creates a situation in which art and fashion thrive. Our expression is integral to forming our identities in a society which constantly acts to erase us. Our fight for visibility is what makes queer fashion so sophisticated and layered."
There are so many incredible styles that I will be doing this piece in parts. If you have a favorite Instagram fashionista you'd like to see in our next feature, please comment below!
